Research and Development
Research and development are integral aspects of CHI's operations.  We are dedicated to creating new hardening processes and to improving existing processes.   Our company has sixty-two patents either granted or pending.

CHI has a fully-equipped metallurgical lab, enabling us to provide thorough inspection and part development services to all of our customers.  The lab is equipped with some of the best equipment offered by Beuhler and LECO.
CHI's degreed metallurgical engineers inspect each sample to ensure that it meets the customer's specifications.  CHI maintains each cut sample for reference and places the results in a database.  The customer is provided with written certification of the metallurgical results.  The metallurgy lab allows CHI to deliver optimum materials, design, gears, and shafts to every one of our customers.
